Endoscopy Cart
A project under development, the surgical endoscopy cart will support endo hardware devices with a minimal footprint, saving valuable floor space in the OR. The cart integrates with the Optimus retractable Floor Pods, which supply all necessary services connections such as power, surgical gases and vacuum, and communications.
The main goal in the design of the endocart is to support a suite of Olympus endoscopy control devices on a mobile form-fitting vertical rack that can be positioned over a floor pod. In this way, cables and hoses can be kept to minimum lengths and avoid trailing on the floor. A transparent hinged door on the back of the cart also reduces visual clutter and keeps cables and open connection ports clean.
